My films are inquisitive, humorous, and moving explorations of life, often told through the unique lens of music and art. Visually distinctive with strong emotional arcs, I often blend archival material with cutting-edge film technology. Over the years I have worked across many different styles and platforms, ranging from ambitious feature films made with large crews to intimate observational documentaries. Born in Belfast and brought up in the North East of England I am particularly interested in stories about subcultures, identity, and the dynamics of power.
